Information we collect

We collect only what we need to schedule and perform work at your property, and to follow up about it.

• Information you give us directly. Your name, service address, phone number, email address, and a description of the problem you are calling about. You provide this on our contact form, over the phone, by text, or in person during an inspection.
• Service records. Inspection findings, photographs of the work area, the scope of work performed, dates of service, and invoices.
• Information collected automatically. When you visit the site, our hosting provider and analytics tools record standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and the site that referred you. This is used to understand how the site performs, not to identify you personally.

How we use your information

We use your information to respond to your inquiry, to schedule and perform inspections and service, to send appointment confirmations and technician arrival notices, to prepare quotes and invoices, to answer questions about active or past jobs, to keep records required by state licensing and trapping regulations, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.

Text messaging & mobile information

We do not sell, rent, share, or otherwise transfer mobile phone numbers or SMS consent to any third party or affiliate for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never shared with third parties. Mobile numbers are disclosed only to the messaging service provider that transmits our texts on our behalf, solely so the message can be delivered, and to no one else.

If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive texts — by checking the consent box on our contact form, or verbally when you call — you will receive text messages from Tri County Trappers in two categories. Service messages about your job: appointment confirmations, technician arrival notices, inspection and quote follow-ups, guarantee information, and replies to your questions. Promotional messages, sent occasionally to past and current customers only: requests to leave a review after a completed job, referral credits, and seasonal offers on preventative inspections.

Message frequency varies and depends on your active job. Most customers receive fewer than ten messages per month.

Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further texts. Reply HELP for help, or call us at (949) 304-5445. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any service. Opting out does not cancel your service appointment, and we will contact you by phone or email instead.

When we disclose information

We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold or shared personal information in the preceding twelve months. We disclose information only in these situations:

• Service providers who work for us. Scheduling and invoicing software, our website host, our payment processor, and our messaging provider. Each receives only what it needs to do its job and is not permitted to use your information for its own purposes.
• Contractors performing part of your job. Some work at your property, such as insulation installation or structural repair, is performed by a separately licensed contractor. If you accept that work, we provide that contractor your name, service address, phone number, and the scope of work so they can schedule with you.
• Legal requirements. When required by law, subpoena, or a lawful request from a government or regulatory agency, including records we are obligated to keep under California trapping and pest control regulations.

Cookies

Our site uses cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working correctly and to measure traffic. Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Refusing cookies may affect how parts of the site function.

Data retention

We keep service records for as long as needed to service your account and to satisfy the record-keeping periods required by California law, tax rules, and our insurers. When records are no longer needed for those purposes, they are deleted or destroyed.

Security

We restrict access to customer information to the people who need it to do their work, and we use commercially reasonable safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot warrant absolute security.

Your rights in California

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you the right to request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, to request that we delete it, to request that we correct inaccurate information, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Children

Our site and services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes affecting how we handle your information will be posted here before they take effect.
