The challenge
Rabbits might look harmless, but on a property they’re a real problem: they dig burrows that create trip hazards, chew through landscaping and irrigation, and slip through fence gaps to keep coming back. At a Long Beach preschool, the solution had to be humane and completely safe — no risk to the children, and no harm to the animals.
Why a childcare facility needs the right approach
A preschool is the last place for harsh methods. The work has to be humane, discreet, and safe around kids, and it has to actually keep the rabbits out — which means fixing how they’re getting in.
What we did
- Humane rabbit trapping & removal — safely trapped and removed the rabbits from the property.
- Fence repairs (exclusion) — repaired the fencing and closed the gaps the rabbits were using, so they can’t return.
- Repellents — applied repellent measures to discourage rabbits from coming back.
- Safe, discreet service — handled the whole job with the care a childcare facility requires.
Why exclusion is the key
Trapping rabbits without fixing the fence just makes room for the next ones. Repairing the fencing and sealing the gaps is what actually solves it — combined with repellents to keep the area from drawing them back.
The result
The rabbits were removed humanely, the fencing was repaired to keep them out, and repellents were put in place — a safe, rabbit-free property for the children and staff.
